Whether insured or not, it is important for property owners to document the damage with photos or videos, and to begin the mitigation process immediately. DO NOT put off seeking help, as, in all likelihood, that will make the problems even worse. Global Restoration will work with uninsured individuals to see how we can help and provide the most honest, fair, and valuable services possible in restoring your peace of mind.
Ultimately, what matters is how we respond to damage. We do “take care of the details”. Global Restoration offers the whole package of restoration services so there are no interruptions in the claim, which saves time and money and helps restore your peace of mind! We hope you found our tips and FAQs about our Jasper restoration service helpful. Schedule a service request today!
Our team member will visit your property to take pictures, measurements, and assess the damage. They will then discuss their findings with you. If you decide to sign with us, we will communicate with your insurance company/adjuster about our findings. We will work as your intermediary to maximize your claim so that we can restore your home to its original or improved state. Our goal is to make this process as seamless as possible for you.
If it is an insurance claim the only thing you will be responsible for if you sign with us is to pay your deductible. Insurance will pay for the rest. If you decide to upgrade your project, during the restoration process, by remodeling, anything that insurance is not covering (paying for), we can certainly do that. We will draw up a change order and you will be responsible for those upgrades. A 50% deposit is required to cover the material cost to begin your job.
If you contact your insurance claims department for an inquiry, they will open a claim on your behalf. If you are uncertain about whether to file a claim, we can inspect your property to determine if the situation warrants filing a claim. After our assessment, you can reach out to your insurance agency, brokerage, or claims department if a claim is recommended to address any concerns. It is advisable to avoid contacting the claims department unless you are certain about filing a claim, as it may impact your review with underwriting when renewing your insurance or seeking a new policy.
When you file an insurance claim and use a restoration company for repairs, your deductible is the amount you’re responsible for paying before your insurance coverage kicks in. It’s a standard part of most insurance policies. Paying the deductible to the restoration company is a way to cover your portion of the costs.
- 40% deposit to start plus the deductible if required
- 40% due once 50% of the job is completed
- 20% due upon completion of job

Disclaimer
The duty to mitigate damages is a legal principle requiring individuals to take reasonable steps to reduce their losses after an incident, such as a property damage event covered by insurance. This duty can be explicitly stated in insurance contracts or implied by contract law. The requirement involves taking ordinary precautions—like covering a leaky roof or drying wet areas—to minimize further damage. Failure to do so can lead to insurance companies reducing or denying claims. They may argue that further damages could have been prevented with due care, or find it difficult to distinguish between damages caused by the incident and those from failure to mitigate. Complying with this duty involves documenting all efforts to mitigate damage, such as taking photos, keeping receipts, and maintaining records of vendor involvement.
